The skilled tradesmen at Marnick Builders have completed a wide range of repairs and restorations for English Heritage at Pendennis Castle. Work of this kind requires the utmost attention to detail and a superb finish. Not only to restore these listed buildings to their former glory, but also to provide an accurate and traditional finish for the public to view on a daily basis.
Work at the castle has included the extensive restoration of the sash windows found on the Guard Houses, Storeroom, Royal Garrison Artillery Barracks and King Henry the VIII’s gun tower. Minor areas of stonework have also been restored across the buildings.
After a case of vandalism, the Field Train Shed required the large traditional wooden doors to be repaired and the metalwork on the hinges replaced. Deterioration to some of the wooden canon carriages also required attention and restoration.
